Exclamation IFA & photokina - Your Questions To Olympus And Panasonic

Next month in Germany two big events will take place: The IFA in Berlin (September 3rd - 8th) and the photokina in Cologne (September 21st - 26th). All manufacturers will use these opportunities to present new products. Of course we will visit both events and will have interviews with product managers at Panasonic and Olympus.

So - what are your questions regarding the Micro FourThirds System?
    For example regarding ...
    - Current products and new gear
    - Strategy and market estimations
    - Technology, design and usability

We'll sum up the results and present them here in the forum!

Mirrorless camera with fixed zoom lens

I've got a couple of questions to both Panasonic and Olympus:

    1. Are you going to release a Mirrorless camera with fixed zoom lens in near future?
Such camera with x3 or even x5 zoom would be nice!

    2. Are you going to add in-built EVF and tilt LCD to your future compact mirrorless cameras? (such as Panasonic GF and Olympus E-P line)

I guess I know the answer but... can you please ask Panasonic (and/or Olympus) if they plan to release a tilt/shift wide angle lens any time soon? Soon as in the next two years...

The other question is about the sensor, but if they release a GH2 it will be answered. If not, please ask them why don't they use the GH1's sensor in other models and if they are going to keep using a multi-aspect sensor in the GH1 successor. It's one of the reasons I bought a GH1.

Do you plan to use square sensors in the near future on MFT cameras, cleverly exploiting the whole circle of illumination transmitted by the lens and – last but not least – having the opportunity of a portrait/landscape option without rotating the camera (thus making portrait grips unnecessary)?

    Two questions to Panasonic.

    1. Will we ever see a Panasonic's Pro camera (weather sealed, pro controls, big superclear EVF) and Pro lenses (weather sealed, internal focus)? Panasonic's lenses are already Pro priced (7-14mm, 45mm macro)

    2. How it works the Panasonic's metering system? Is it database based or it really "reads" the actual scene? For my experience it works better than other camera's systems.

    integrated GPS

    Questions for Panasonic and Olympus:
Do you plan to integrate Geotagging GPS system in m4/3 cameras (as in some Panasonic cameras) ?
Or an external Geotagging GPS system which could be plugged on camera (as Nikon do) ?

I have three questions for Panasonic:

    1. On GF1, do you plan to release a new firmware that allow manual controls and better bitrates on video recording? Through the firmware hacks, it was shown that the GF1 is able to record video in AVCHD at 40 Mbps and 35 Mbps MJPEG.

    2. Are you going to release a new external viewfinder with more resolution than LVF1?

    3. Will we see new fast lenses like f1.0?

    PS: Sorry for my english...

Worthy Successors of LC1 and L1 in m43 Format

    I'd like to know if

    1. Panasonic is ever going to make something as good as LC1 and L1
in terms of usability, build quality, etc. with GH1 type of multi-aspect sensors in m43 format.

    2. Panasonic will always use multi-aspect sensors in their higher-end models.

In the OLYMPUS E-Series, while using the B&W mode, are there any plans to create digitals filter instructions within the camera's software that will mimic the traditional B&W filters like yellow, orange, or red, etc., and that create that effect?
