Thread: I am SO in love with the in-body IS of the PEN.

Yesterday I went to an aquarium with my kids. Anyone who has gone to one knows that flash photography is forbidden for the sake of the fish.

Which is why I am now very, very much with the built-in image stabilization on my E-P2 as well as it performance at ISO1600.

This was handheld at 42mm (84mm in old money) for 1/5s.

I've been really impressed at smaller focal lengths on my E-P1. I've come to realise that 1/4 sec with the 17mm is quite reasonable. However, it all turns to custard at longer focal lengths, quite unlike my E3 which is happy at 1/30 at 200mm, where the E-P1 seems to need far more. I guess it's a weight thing?

Maybe...I've gotten decent sharpness at 1/30s using an adapted cv 90/3.5 (180mm equiv.).

me too, using a leica 2.8 90 gave me some very sharp pics - as did the leica 3.5 135 (which gives a useful 270 range)

I was at a Jazz Festival this past weekend and shot most 90/2.8 Planar Contax G. Love the in body IS.
